This little shirt screams boy to me. I made this for my nephew who is 18 months or so old. It was very easy to make!
I grabbed some painter’s tape and started taping off my diagonals. I used a piece of tape as a spacer between. Besides that I didn’t do any measuring. I’m a “fly by the seat of my pants” crafter :)
I’m also a messy crafter. That’s why I taped off the collar and around the sleeves. I stuck some paper in between the shirt so that the paint wouldn’t seep through to the back.
Now just paint the stripes your desired color. I used Tulip fabric paint. I chose an alternating design and love how it turned out!
This was such a simple project that took less than an hour. The hardest part is taping off the stripes. I have loved experimenting with fabric paint lately!
Do you know how hard it is to get a good picture of a 1 and a half year old?! I snagged these with my Iphone. What a cutie :)
Have you used fabric paint?
