This is one of those super easy recipes that I’ve come to looovee!
Here’s how to make it:
3 cups noodles
1 pound ground sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (14.5 oz.) can Rotel
1 (3 oz) package pepperoni
1 tbsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Mushrooms (optional)
Any other pizza toppings you want to add
1. Cook pasta, drain and set aside
2. Preheat oven to 350
3. In a large skillet, cook sausage and onion
4. Spoon sausage mixture into a large bowl. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, pepperoni, mushrooms, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir in 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Add cooked noodles and toss to combine. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and bake for 20-30 minutes or until casserole is hot and bubbly.
I make mine half mushrooms and half regular since my husband doesn’t like mushrooms. I also don’t mix my mushrooms but just place them on top.
This is also the recipe halved. It makes a ton! I also use more mozzarella :)
I also save some calories by using turkey pepperoni. There is a HUGE difference between the calories in regular pepperoni and the calories in turkey pepperoni.
Delicious and easy weeknight meal!
Thanks for stopping by :)
