My great friend Amber wanted a small satchel (aka purse). I started off using a pattern that I completely scrapped. It was totally confusing and therefore I just winged it.
It turned out better than I expected. The most important thing is that she loves it!
These are great for when you don't want to carry around a honking purse.
This is the kind of satchel that goes across your chest and sits on the side of your hip.
The pockets were a part of the original pattern and I liked them so kept them when the "winging" began!
